Hi, I'm Taylor.

I’m a Ph.D. Candidate, Paul F. Lazarsfeld Fellow, and Provost Diversity Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Columbia University with a specialization in computational social science. Broadly, I use a range of quantitative and computational methods — including causal inference from observational data, experiments, machine learning for the social sciences, and spatial analysis — to study racial and economic inequality in the United States.

Prior to graduate school, previous chapters of my career include full-time jobs or internships in product design, law, and healthcare; various multi-year stints as a photographer, DJ and music producer, event curator, or contributing writer; and a two-year career-break as a full-time traveler and freelancer.

All these experiences have led me to where I am today: I employ a variety of research methods in pursuit of a deeper understanding of the social world.
